Reviews
Great check in/check out. Rooms were clean, and I appreciated the door codes instead of dealing with keys or key cards. I arrived after the front desk closed and received a helpful phone call to walk me through what to expect, since it was my first time staying. Staff for the Inn was very kind, helpful, and polite. Room was a little cold, and the sound machine in the room was clutch for drowning out any restaurant noise.
The hotel is very old!!! Our room was outdated and dark. The heat did not work well. A band was on the floor above w very loud music that affected my heart and caused it to misfire. I had to leave for 2 hours til their practice was over. The room amenity list said coffee maker and microwave. There was none except in front lobby. It is not worth one penny we paid for it. It was musty and smelly and my handicapped walker had to be folded and carried thru the hallway door to get to the room. It's not up to handicapped codes although they advertise it is.
Sugarloaf Inn is our destination for our visits to our son in CVA. We fell in love with Sugarloaf Mountain and Sugarloaf Inn on our first visit to Carrabassett Valley. The views are spectacular with birch trees and big dogs running around. Staff is always very helpful and we enjoy the complimentary tea and coffee at the front desk. We cannot wait for the next visit, when the Shipyard restaurant and brewery will be open for the winter season. The indoor Sports and Health Center nearby is a great addition to the outdoor experience.
Rooms need updating badly. Very dated room and bathroom
Everyone that I came in contact with at the Inn were very friendly,
couteous and kind. I consider them to be the "best" concierge I have ever come in contact with!
I would definitely stay there at another time.
When I checked in on 9/28, I didn't inform the hotel staff first that I would be outside the hotel staff's service hours before I could check in. Moreover, due to the third-party booking website, the hotel thought I was checking in on 9/29. But the hotel staff were very patient on the phone and tried their best to make me understand what was going on and give me a room, even though my English was not very good. And they handled the procedures very kindly and provided other assistance the next morning. Thank you so much.
Very happy with our stay from 9/28-10/01.
Hotel needs serious updating. Service was fine but during the hurricane so no cable/internet
Stayed as a guest of Warrior Expeditions community supporter while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. Very helpful staff. Lovely room. Complimentary tea & coffee in lobby.
